Terms of business
What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. Kept short, and meant to prevent arguments later.
Version ‹datum›
What these terms apply to
These terms apply to every quotation and every project from Unify Studio, CVR ‹nummer›. Any departure from them applies only if we have confirmed it in writing. We do not accept the client's own purchasing terms unless we expressly agree to them.
Quotation and project
A quotation is valid for ‹30› days and sets out what we will make, when it will be ready and what it will cost. The project starts as soon as you approve the quotation in writing — an email is enough.
Work that falls outside the quotation is only carried out after we have discussed it. We tell you in advance what it will cost.
Prices and payment
- Amounts are exclusive of VAT and exclusive of travel costs beyond ‹25› kilometres from Herning.
- For projects above ‹25.000› kroner we ask for ‹40›% up front; the remainder on delivery.
- Payment term ‹14› days. After that, statutory interest applies and we may suspend the work.
- Ongoing content agreements are invoiced monthly, in advance.
Cancelling and rescheduling
A shoot day is held for you and cannot be sold twice. So:
- More than ‹14› days in advance — rescheduling is free.
- Between ‹14› and ‹3› days — ‹50›% of the day rate.
- Within ‹3› days — the full day rate, plus any costs we have already incurred.
- Bad weather on outdoor shoots — one free reschedule, by agreement.
Delivery and revisions
The quotation states when we deliver. Film work includes ‹één› round of revisions, photography and design work ‹twee›. Further rounds are charged by the hour.
If you do not respond to a delivery within ‹14› days, we treat it as approved.
Who owns the work
The copyright in what we make stays with us. On full payment you receive an unlimited licence to use it for the purposes set out in the quotation, with no end date and transferable within your own organisation.
If you want to resell the work, hire it out or use it beyond those purposes, we agree that separately.
- Unedited material — recordings and raw files stay with us. We supply them on request for a fee.
- Source files — design files and edit projects are supplied if the quotation says so.
- Our own use — we may show the work in our portfolio and on our own channels, unless you tell us beforehand that we may not.
People on camera
We arrange consent from the people we photograph or film. If you supply material yourself, you are taken to hold the rights to it — including to music, typefaces and images made by others. If that turns out not to be the case, we are not liable for the consequences.
Confidentiality
What we see and hear with you stays with us. That applies after the project has ended too, and to material that is never published.
Liability
We do our work carefully, but we cannot guarantee a result in viewing figures, sales or search rankings. Our liability is limited to the value of the project, and we are not liable for consequential loss such as lost revenue.
If something goes wrong through circumstances beyond our control — illness, storms, equipment failure — we look for a new date together rather than for someone to blame.
Complaints and disputes
If you are unhappy with something, let us know within ‹14› days of delivery and we will put it right. If we cannot resolve it between us, Danish law applies and the court in ‹Herning› has jurisdiction.
